Resume tool pricing: subscriptions versus credits
Resume tools offer subscriptions, one time plans and credit packs. We sell credits. This guide states what each model buys, then quotes the prices the tools we checked list on their own pricing pages, with the date we read them. No ranking and no verdicts, just the listed figures and what each page says they cover.
The two models
What a subscription buys and what a credit buys
A subscription buys time
A subscription buys access for a period. You pay the listed amount for each billing period, month to month or for a longer term paid up front, and during that period you can use whatever the plan includes, as often as the plan allows. Access runs for the period you paid for.
What a plan includes is set by each tool. The table below quotes each plan’s own words for that, and nothing else.
A credit buys one deliverable
1 credit creates one deliverable, a tailored resume, a cover letter, a mock interview, an outreach set, or an upskill plan. Credits never expire. Once 4 credits are spent on one job, everything else on that job is free.
A credit is a unit of work, not a unit of time. You spend one when you generate a deliverable, and the ones you do not spend stay in your account until you do.
Example: a resume alone is 1 credit, and a full application on one job is 4 credits, after which the rest of that job’s kit is free. Our packs are on the pricing page.
Listed prices
The listed price table is not shown right now
We publish other tools’ listed prices only inside 120 days of reading them on each tool’s own public pricing page, and only with a dated record behind them. Until the next check is on file, this page keeps to the two models above.
The honest answer
When a subscription is the right choice
A month to month plan can be the right choice for you. If you expect to produce a large number of documents in a short stretch, say a dozen or more tailored resumes and letters every week for a month or two, a flat monthly price for that period may suit that pace, and each plan’s own inclusions above tell you what its price covers.
Credits suit a search that comes in bursts: a few applications this week, none the next, and a balance that is still there when you come back. Which model fits depends on how many documents you will actually make and how evenly. Count that first, then read the table.
What we do not do
We do not auto apply
Nothing here submits an application for you. You read every document, decide whether it is right, and send it yourself.
We do not scrape LinkedIn
The browser extension clips the job listing you are looking at, and your own profile only when you ask it to. It never reads anyone else's profile or acts on your network.
We do not invent claims
Every line in a resume we write is compared with the background you gave us, and the report shows you what it was compared with. AI drafts can contain unsupported details, even after source checks. We compare wording with the background you provide; we do not independently verify your work history or credentials. Review every statement before using your documents.
First resume free, no card. 1 credit = one deliverable: a tailored resume, a cover letter, a mock interview, an outreach set, or an upskill plan. 4 credits on one job unlock the rest. Credits never expire.
